When I had my first daughter Molly eight years ago, I had not been warned about post-partum hair loss and had no idea it was a problem facing 300,000 women a year.
It was such a horrible experience, I lost handfuls of hair each day and clogged the bathroom plug on numerous occasions. Losing my hair really knocked my confidence and I found it really scary.
The more I spoke to other women the more I realised that hair loss is a huge problem and one that we tend to suffer with in silence. 8 million women in the UK suffer from hair loss at some point in their lives and there are many causes. Stress, anxiety, over-styling, hormonal fluctuations, menopause and nutritional deficiencies can all cause hair loss – as well as it now being one of the symptoms people can experience post Covid.
Hair Gain launched with the Hair Gain Capsules in 2018 and quickly gained a cult following. We introduced the Hair Gain Gummies to the range in 2020 and have since added to the award-winning supplements with a topical product – a new nourishing miracle treatment hair mask which launched in 2021 - and has already collected a clutch of awards from the likes of Get The Gloss and Cosmo Magazine. We also have an accessories range which includes a 100% biodegradable comb, which launched at the same time as the Hair Mask and a super soft microfibre pink headband which we introduced in 2020.
